Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking a dedicated Young Person's Worker to facilitate group work in primary schools across Kent. The role is full‑time (37.5 hours), fixed term until 31/01/2029, Monday to Friday, working within The Sunlight Project, a structured program for children aged 7–11 affected by someone else’s substance use.

You will lead small groups, use outcome tools to measure progress, and liaise with schools to achieve the best outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in a similar Health & Social Care setting or working with vulnerable children.
  • Experience of working with children in group work settings.
  • Evidence of training in child protection and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate small group sessions in primary schools across Kent.
  • Use outcome tools to measure progress in children’s wellbeing.
  • Liaise with schools to achieve the best outcomes for these children.
  • Cover Kent with groups in multiple schools (approx. 6 per 2 school terms).
  • Mileage costs supported by the service and driving is essential.
