Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd. in Tees Valley is seeking a Youth Worker & Student Engagement Officer to support student wellbeing and boost participation across college spaces. You will lead activities, act as a visible contact, and help gather feedback to enhance the student experience.

You will coordinate engagement events and liaise with external organisations for workshops, promoting inclusive, positive student engagement. A Level 2 qualification and DBS certificate are required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Youth Work, Mentoring, Counselling or related discipline.
• Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
• Experience with young people in education, community, youth work, or support setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build positive relationships.
• Proactive and organised with ability to work independently.
• Experience planning activities, events or student engagement initiatives is advantageous.
• Genuine passion for supporting young people and enhancing their educational experience.
• Enhanced DBS certificate already in place (essential).

Responsibilities

• Act as a visible point of contact for students and provide support and signposting.
• Support communication between students and staff, acting as the eyes and ears of the college community.
• Plan and deliver student-focused activities and engagement events.
• Coordinate initiatives such as CRA Week, Be the Change campaigns, and seasonal events.
• Encourage student voice and gather feedback to shape the student experience.
• Liaise with external organisations and professionals to arrange workshops and enrichment opportunities.
• Promote wellbeing, inclusion, and positive student engagement across the college.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to team planning through the student engagement calendar.
