Job summary

South Thames College in London is seeking a Youth Worker to join the Student Support team, working with students aged 16-19 to deliver workshops and activities that engage them in college life and prepare them for life in society.

You will oversee safeguarding cohorts, collaborate with staff and external partners, and utilise IT systems to market and record service provision. A Level 3 qualification and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students and staff.
• Experience delivering workshops and activities for 16-19 year olds.
• Ability to signpost and refer to services within the college.

Responsibilities

• Deliver enrichment activities and support, engaging a large group of students.
• Oversee safeguarding cohort as part of Student Support Services.
• Liaise with staff, external organisations and professionals as needed.
• Record service delivery and evaluate impact using IT systems.
