Job summary

South Thames College is seeking a Youth Worker to support a high-performing Student Support team in London. You will deliver and help organise enrichment activities for students aged 16–19 to engage with college life and prepare for life beyond college.

The role requires strong communication, safeguarding experience and the ability to work both independently and with a team. It is permanent, full-time, term-time only (38 weeks per year) with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering workshops/tutorials to 16–19 year olds to help informed choices.
• Proven ability to engage young people and support attendance in lessons.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a safeguarding cohort as part of Student Support Services.
• Deliver, support, arrange and organise enrichment activities for a large number of students.
• Liaise with students, staff and external organisations to enhance college life.
