Job summary

Action for Children in Glasgow is seeking a Service Co-ordinator to lead a new employability delivery team. You will manage a team across South Lanarkshire/South East Ayrshire, delivering tailored employability sessions and supporting young people to gain confidence and sustained employment.

The role is hands-on, with line management, coaching and partnership collaboration, while ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with funder requirements. Hybrid working available.

Qualifications

• Significant post qualification experience of working with young people through a multi-agency environment and achieving positive outcomes through intervention.
• Understanding of leadership within the delivery of service user needs assessment, ensuring accurate and update retention of information
• Experience of chairing, supporting and contributing to service/partnership planning meetings.
• Experience of effective people management
• Experience of effective partnership working and outcome/impact reporting
• Experience of demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and an ability to promote the wellbeing and welfare of young people.
• Demonstrable integration of equality and diversity into practice and service delivery.
• Driving licence and access to a car. Travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that staff monitor, record, and review progress at set intervals, providing additional support as needed to meet goals.
• Assist staff in organising, delivering, and evaluating interventions and programs for children, young people, and families.
• Maintain awareness of Health & Safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of all service users, staff, and visitors.
• Provide supervision, line management, mentoring, and coaching to staff, partner colleagues and occasional students.
• Support the CSM in meeting regulatory and legislative requirements for the service.
• Ensure contract requirements and reporting for service delivery are met within relevant timescales.
• Maintain effective working relationships with partnership colleagues.
• Manage delegated responsibility for the service budget.
