Job summary

Barnardo's Swansea is seeking a Project Co-ordinator to support the Believe: Positive Destinations service in Swansea, delivering a 12-week work readiness programme and building networks with schools, education services, Leaving Care and NEET providers. You will assist the Children's Services Manager, develop work placement networks, track progress and promote the service at events.

Strong organisational skills and experience with young people are essential.

Qualifications

Experience with 16-25 year olds in one-to-one and group settings.
Experience of working with NEETs (not engaged in education, employment or training).
Ability to network and establish strong positive working relationships with partner organisations.
Experience of mentoring or willingness to take a lead role.
Desire to work towards positive outcomes for young people.

Responsibilities

Support young people to achieve development goals using a person-centred approach.
Deliver a 12-week work readiness programme including identified Agored Cymru accredited units.
Track progress using outcomes scoring to reflect their journey.
Lead and maintain relationships with placement providers.
Gather and collate data and contribute to reports.
Promote the service at networking events and online.
Establish links with organisations that refer young people to the project.
Flexible working to meet the needs of young people and the service.
