Job summary

Action for Children in Glasgow is seeking an Employment Facilitator. You will work one-to-one with young people, designing tailored employability sessions and creating outcome-focused plans to move them toward work, training or further education.

The role is hands-on, with group work, close collaboration with local partners, and a commitment to equity and inclusion. You’ll contribute to safeguarding and deliver high-quality support in a youth-centred environment.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 in Social Care, Guidance or similar preferred.
• Experience with young people in group settings, especially with barriers.
• Understanding challenges to employment and willingness to help.
• Experience in Construction or Customer Service sectors beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Work one-to-one with young people to understand strengths, barriers and aspirations and support progression.
• Design and deliver tailored employability sessions across areas such as Customer Service, Construction and essential skills.
• Create outcome-focused action plans and review progress with participants.
• Provide warm, consistent aftercare and build motivation to stay on track.
