Job summary

Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Band 4 practitioner to work with the Teesside Children and Young People’s Community Eating Disorder Service. You will monitor physical health, perform observations, and develop ECG/venepuncture skills while supporting families and carers.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing evidence-based assessment and intervention, with travel across Teesside to meet service needs.

Qualifications

• Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care or equivalent required.
• Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 or equivalent required.
• Experience in Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care settings desirable.
• Competent record keeping within agreed timescales.
• Approved techniques in physical intervention (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Monitor physical health and conduct observations (bloods, ECG) within the MDT.
• Provide therapeutic interventions and meal support to children/young people and coach families.
• Report progress and observations to the MDT and other agencies as needed.
• Travel across Teesside; travel expenses will be paid.
• Support the Teesside Children and Young People’s Community Eating Disorder Service across multiple sites.
