Job summary

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Eating Disorder and Mental Health Dietitian to support CYP Tier 4 CHEDS services in Chester. The role covers outpatient and inpatient portions, delivering specialist assessments and evidence-based nutrition plans for young people and families.

You will work within a well-established MDT, with opportunities for professional development and training in eating disorders within the CHEDS service.

Qualifications

• Degree in nutrition and dietetics or equivalent.
• Membership of professional body.
• Evidence of eating-disorder specific training, post registration.
• Post-Graduate Diploma in Dietetics (desirable).
• Very good knowledge of dietetics for eating disorders.
• Experience of working in eating disorders dietetics in the community.
• Experience of working in an eating disorders ward environment.
• Alignment with Trust Values (6 Cs).

Responsibilities

• Complete specialist dietetic assessments and develop/ deliver individualised treatment plans.
• Differentiate between fear foods and true sensory preferences impacting meal plans.
• Consider physical and mental health co-morbidities in treatment.
• Collaborate with community dietitians and CHEDS MDT/ward staff; ensure evidence-based decisions.
• Provide feedback in MDTs to monitor progress and goals.
• Ensure adherence to FT-AN stages and CHEDS inpatient programme.
• Provide psychoeducation to parents/carers for meal planning and mealtime support.

Experience in ED Dietetics (community)

Experience in ED ward

Knowledge of ED dietetics

Education

Degree in nutrition and dietetics or equivalent

Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics (desirable)
