Job summary

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a band 5 community occupational therapist to join our CAMHS eating disorders service for CYP. You will work in CYP homes and in community settings across the Wakefield District, delivering 1:1 intervention to promote occupation and functioning, and helping run a range of therapeutic groups.

The post offers comprehensive induction, regular supervision, and the chance to develop skills within a friendly, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration and registration with the HCPC.
• Experience with Children and Young People or eating disorders is desirable.
• A full driving licence is essential for travel across Wakefield District.

Responsibilities

• Assess CYP with eating disorders and plan treatment.
• Deliver 1:1 interventions to promote occupation and functioning.
• Facilitate and participate in group sessions for CYP.
• Maintain clear clinical records and reports to MDTs and GPs.
• Coordinate care with multi-disciplinary team and partner agencies.
• Provide home and community visits across Wakefield District.
