Job summary

Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant Practitioner to join the Teesside Children and Young People’s Community Eating Disorder Service. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team across Teesside, based on Acklam Road Hospital, Middlesbrough.

Travel is required and expenses are covered. The post requires a Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care or an equivalent Level 5 health qualification, with literacy/numeracy Level 2, and a commitment to

Qualifications

• Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care or Level 5 accredited health related qualification
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care with plan to achieve Level 5 within 2 years
• Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 required

Responsibilities

• Monitor physical health alongside MDT and perform observations
• Assist with venepuncture and ECG training where needed
• Provide therapeutic interventions and meal support to children and families in the community
• Report progress and observations to the MDT
