Job summary

Derby County Football Club is seeking a Part-Time Youth Development Phase Coach to join the Coaching Department at Moor Farm Training Centre.

The role focuses on supporting the U15-U16 development, delivering the coaching programme and Day Release activities, and promoting holistic player development in line with academy values.

Applicants should hold UEFA B and A licences, FA Youth Award, First Aid, and have strong communications; experience in Category 1 academies is desirable.

Qualifications

• Coaching within a football academy environment.
• Experience of working with youth players and development plans.
• Experience in a Category 1 academy environment is desirable.
• Playing at semi-professional or professional level is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coach across the U15/U16 squads and support individual player development.
• Maintain the academy’s holistic player development approach at all times.
• Complete academy requirements on Kitman Labs and Hudl in line with standards.
• Conduct player and parent review meetings every ten weeks.
• Support the Lead Coaches in age-group games and logistics.
• Engage in ongoing CPD and development aligned with the DCFC framework.
• Support safeguarding and welfare across the phase.
