Job summary

Cheshire West and Chester Council invites applications for a qualified Youth Worker based in Winsford. You will develop and deliver group and school-based work across Winsford and other districts as needed, ensuring high-quality, outcome-based youth work in line with the Youth Service Strategy.

You will lead a team of part-time Youth Support Workers, plan, deliver and evaluate targeted youth work, and develop needs-led projects to educate young people about risky behaviours.

Qualifications

• Degree in Youth and Community Work or equivalent; required or pursued.
• Understanding of national policy framework relating to young people.
• Apprenticeship option for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality targeted youth work across multiple delivery points.
• Lead and manage a team of part-time Youth Support Workers.
• Plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate targeted youth work and time-bound projects.
