Job summary

Cheshire West and Chester Council is seeking a Young People’s Advisor to support NEET young people, building trusted relationships and delivering tailored interventions that promote positive outcomes. You will work with those aged 13–19 (up to 25 with SEND) to promote engagement in education, employment and training, while ensuring safeguarding and data protection compliance are met.

The role is based in Ellesmere Port, with flexibility to work across Cheshire West and Chester.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering information, advice and guidance to young people.
• Ability to maintain a caseload and provide timely, inclusive support.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, health & safety, and data protection principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, practical support to NEET young people, helping them overcome barriers.
• Build trusted relationships and deliver tailored interventions.
• Support engagement in education, employment and training for 13–19 year olds (up to 25 with SEND).
