Job summary

Cornwall Council is recruiting Personal Advisors for the 16+ and Separated Children Seeking Asylum service. You will support care leavers aged 18+ and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, coordinating pathway plans and liaising with Housing, Careers, and safeguarding partners.

The role emphasizes working with young people in the community, with strong IT literacy and driving ability, and involves flexible hours and DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people including care leavers.
• Excellent communication skills with young people and families.
• Ability to work in partnership with multiple agencies and lone work.

Responsibilities

• Lead on post-18 pathway planning for care leavers.
• Coordinate with partner agencies to support transition to independence.
• Manage own diary and caseload with risk assessment and plans.
