Inicio is recruiting a Deputy Service Manager for our supported accommodation services in Tameside. You will partner with the Supported Accommodation Manager to lead daily operations, ensure high care standards and regulatory compliance, and support young people to grow in safety and confidence.

The role emphasises leadership, safeguarding, and excellent communication with young people, families, staff and external agencies; a £500 welcome bonus applies and the salary is £32,857.50 per year for

Qualifications

• Diploma Level 3/4 in Children, Young People and Families practitioner required.
• Level 5 in Children, Young People and Families Manager or willingness to undertake it preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in children's social care, supported accommodation, or similar setting.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, legislation, and best practices in supported accommodation, safeguarding and child protection.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations of the home.
• Oversee and tailor support and safety intervention plans.
• Build relationships with young people, families, colleagues, and external agencies.
• Champion the ECHO program, ensuring young voices are central to decision-making.
• Support colleague development through training, feedback, and guidance.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Act as deputy to the Service Manager.
• Promote education, personal development, and life skills among young people.
• Promote the involvement of young people in decision-making processes, actively encouraging their participation and listening to their perspectives.
