Inicio is recruiting a Deputy Service Manager for our supported accommodation services in Tameside. You will partner with the Supported Accommodation Manager to lead daily operations, ensure high care standards and regulatory compliance, and support young people to grow in safety and confidence.

The role emphasises leadership, safeguarding, and excellent communication with young people, families, staff and external agencies; a £500 welcome bonus applies and the salary is £32,857.50 per year for

• Diploma Level 3/4 in Children, Young People and Families practitioner required.
• Level 5 in Children, Young People and Families Manager or willingness to undertake it preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in children's social care, supported accommodation, or similar setting.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, legislation, and best practices in supported accommodation, safeguarding and child protection.

• £500 welcome bonus (£250 on successful completion of induction, £250 on successful completion of probation)
• £32,857.50 per Anum (based on 37.5 hours per week)

Job Description:

As a Deputy Service Manager, you’ll play a vital role in the smooth running and development of our supported accommodation homes. Working closely with the Supported Accommodation Manager, you’ll lead daily operations, ensure high standards of care and compliance, and provide direct support to young people. You’ll foster a nurturing environment that promotes well-being, development, and future aspirations, while also supporting colleague development and embodying our core values in everything you do.

Requirements:

• Hold a Diploma Level 3/4 in Children, Young People, and Families practitioner.
• Hold or be willing to work Level 5 in Children, Young People and Families Manager or be willing to undertake this.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in children's social care, supported accommodation or similar setting.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, legislation, and best practices in supported accommodation, safeguarding and child protection.
• Proven leadership experience in a care or support setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, young people, families, and external stakeholders.
• A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of young people.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Flexibility to work on a shift basis.
