Job summary

North Somerset Council is seeking a casual worker to support advocacy for Children in Care and those on Child Protection plans. You will need direct experience with young people and join a team that handles regular ad-hoc work across the Youth Offending Service.

The role is hybrid, with home-based tasks and optional office space at Town Hall, W-S-M. A valid driving licence and own transport (or suitable alternative) are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSE passes or equivalent including English and Maths.
• 6 months direct work with young people whose behaviour can be challenging or anti-social.
• Proven Track record of communication with young people and advocating for them (giving them a voice).
• Empathy, patience and resilience.
