Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Business Development Manager to cover the Yorkshire region, driving new business and building relationships across agricultural machinery, gardening equipment and groundcare products. You will identify opportunities, visit clients, and deliver presentations to secure quotations and grow the customer base.

The role offers a salary of £33,000-£37,000 per annum with an OTE of £45,000-£50,000, plus a company car and benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Business Development, Field Sales or external sales role.
• Strong track record of winning new business and developing customer relationships.
• Confident presenting products and solutions to a range of customers.
• Commercially minded, proactive and motivated to achieve sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Able to manage your own diary and organise customer visits across Yorkshire.
• Experience within agriculture, groundcare, gardening equipment, machinery or a related industry would be advantageous.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities across Yorkshire.
• Build relationships with new clients, including garden centres, farms, construction companies, wholesalers and retailers.
• Promote and sell a range of agricultural machinery, gardening equipment and groundcare products.
• Arrange and attend client visits to understand customer requirements and identify sales opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective and existing customers.
• Produce quotations, negotiate terms and follow up on opportunities to secure new business.
• Attend exhibitions, trade shows and industry events to generate leads and raise brand awareness.
• Develop long-term customer relationships to maximise sales and repeat business.
