Gardiner & Theobald LLP is seeking a Year Out Surveyor to join the Accelerate Programme, gaining real responsibility and expert mentoring while preparing for Chartered membership of RICS. You will work on a variety of projects within the QS department, developing technical and leadership skills through structured training and practical experience.

The role offers 9–12 months of hands-on exposure, with the chance to build a solid knowledge base of the firm, industry, and client relationship

Qualificações

• Minimum good A-Level grades or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration.
• Proficient IT systems and applications.
• Genuine interest in the construction and property industry.

Responsabilidades

• Measure drawings produced by the Design Team, manually or with CostX.
• Prepare cost plans establishing project budgets for clients.
• Assist with contract documentation, drawing registers, preliminaries and pricing for tenders.
• Support review and comparison of tender returns for contractor appointments.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts for projects.
• Attend site visits and carry out valuations of completed works.
• Support value engineering activities to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Attend project and site meetings, including design team and contractor progress meetings.
• Communicate with stakeholders to obtain quotations and discuss project costs.
