RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. invites applications for a Year in Industry placement at Robin Rigg Offshore Windfarm, Workington. This full-time fixed-term role (13 months) is site-based and requires residence nearby due to location.

• Eligibility to complete a year in industry placement as part of the degree program.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Minimum five years’ UK residence due to National Security Vetting considerations.

About the role

• Contribute to tasks supporting strategic engineering and commercial decision-making.
• Assist with the planning, scheduling and delivery of maintenance work to optimise costs and plant performance.
• Deliver selected engineering projects for Robin Rigg Offshore Windfarm based on the relevant degree discipline and experience.

Job requirements and experience

• Ongoing studies in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, IT, Computing and Networking or a related discipline.
• Eligibility to complete a year in industry placement as part of the degree programme.
• Very good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate workloads independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Confidence working in a diverse team environment and engaging with a range of stakeholders.
• Motivation is crucial; your cover letter will tell us why you´re a suitable candidate for this opportunity, and how it aligns with your studies & career plans.
• A minimum of five years’ residence in the UK due to the potential requirement for National Security Vetting.

This position is aimed at those currently studying who are eligible for a Year in Industry Placement. For those who will be graduating Summer 2027 we encourage you to apply for our graduate programme which will be advertised in January 2027.
