Job summary

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. offers a Year in Industry placement in Procurement within our Operations & Maintenance unit. You will rotate across the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, supporting stakeholders, preparing tender documents and evaluating bids while developing commercial acumen.

This hybrid placement requires three on-site days per week with some travel to other sites. Strong communication, IT skills and a collaborative mindset will help you succeed in a dynamic, global wind

Qualifications

• Ongoing studies in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Law, Engineering or similar discipline.
• Eligibility to complete a year in industry placement as part of the degree programme.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with good IT skills.
• Ability to organise workloads, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Confidence working in a diverse team environment and engaging with stakeholders.
• Availability to work from an operational site three days per week and travel to other sites.
• Minimum five years’ residence in the UK due to potential National Security Vetting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Gain practical experience across the end-to-end procurement lifecycle.
• Support buying requirements by working with Stakeholders and Procurement Managers.
• Prepare and evaluate tender documents throughout the procurement process.
• Build RFIs and RFQs using the e-tendering tool.
• Analyse tender submissions and prepare price comparisons for commercial decisions.
• Assist with supplier contract preparation and contract review meetings.
• Organise internal and external meetings as part of daily procurement activities.
• Develop commercial awareness and negotiation skills with progression towards contract negotiations.
