Job summary

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. offers a Year in Industry placement at Rampion Offshore Windfarm, Newhaven. The role combines onsite operations with remote work, giving hands-on experience in safety, fault reporting and performance improvements.

You will work with a diverse team across the business, travel to other sites when required, and contribute to meaningful projects that support the Growing Green mission. Eligibility for a Year in Industry placement is required.

Qualifications

• Ongoing degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Very good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organise workloads independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to other sites; travel expenses covered.
• Eligibility to complete a year in industry placement as part of the degree programme.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience across the full scope of offshore wind farm operations, including safety management and reporting.
• Analyse turbine faults and recommend modifications to maximise output and performance.
• Support daily site fault reporting, work planning and technical decision-making.
• Lead a high-profile continuous improvement project, including budget, contract and contractor management.
