Job summary

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. is offering a Year in Industry placement at Scroby Sands Offshore Windfarm in Great Yarmouth.

You will join the Operations and Maintenance team on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term basis, working onsite to gain practical wind energy experience. The role focuses on fault analysis, engineering strategy support, health and safety training, and hands-on operation alongside qualified technicians.

Qualifications

• Ongoing undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Eligibility to complete a Year in Industry placement as part of the degree programme.
• Residence in the UK for at least five years due to the potential requirement for National Security Vetting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse wind turbine faults and recommend modifications to prevent recurrence, improve reliability and maximise performance.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of engineering and maintenance strategies, policies and procedures that support site performance targets.
• Support technical projects and gain practical project management experience.
• Develop knowledge of health and safety management, reporting and the implementation of safety improvements.
• Create and improve safety documentation in accordance with the applicable Safety Rules.
• Drive site safety initiatives through offshore inspections and contribute to the achievement of company safety objectives.
