Job summary

Copnor Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Year 6 teacher to join our friendly staff from November 2026. The post is fixed-term for the remainder of the academic year, with a possibility of permanency depending on staff structure for Sept 2027.

The successful candidate will join a strong Year 6 team, supported by three other class teachers, a Year 6 Teaching Assistant Team, the KS2 Phase Leader and SLT, and will be well placed to contribute to a supportive learning

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Year 6.
• Ability to work with a team of Year 6 staff.
• Fixed-term role to cover travelling teacher.

Responsibilities

• Teach a Year 6 class full time or 3 days a week.
• Work collaboratively with Year 6 staff, TA team, KS2 Phase Leader and SLT.
• Foster a nurturing and dynamic classroom environment.
