Horizon Teachers seeks a reliable Teaching Assistant for a long-term Year 5 role at a welcoming Surrey primary school. You will work closely with the class teacher to support engaged Year 5 pupils, helping them thrive academically and personally throughout the school year.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist with lesson delivery, resources, and classroom organisation, and build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families. DBS check will be required.

We are working with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Chobham, Surrey to find a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for a long-term role in Year 5, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a valued member of a supportive team, helping pupils thrive academically and personally throughout the school year.

You’ll be working closely with the class teacher to support a group of engaged and curious Year 5 pupils, making a real difference to their learning and confidence every single day.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across the curriculum
• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils who need additional help
• Helping to create a positive, structured and nurturing classroom environment
• Assisting with the management of resources and classroom organisation
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role with primary-aged children
• A warm, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners
• The ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a close-knit school team
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
• A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
