Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking an experienced Year 5 General Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in the PR1 area. The role is full-time term-time, offering daily rate dependent on experience.

You will support Year 5 pupils with KS2 lessons and interventions, contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have TA experience in a primary setting, strong Year 5 knowledge, excellent communication, and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school.
• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly Year 5.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in class and in small group interventions.
• Assist with KS2 Year 5 delivery and activities.
• Maintain excellent communication with staff, pupils and parents where appropriate.
• Be proactive, reliable and flexible in supporting teaching and learning.

Position: Year 5 General Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full-time (term-time)

Salary: From £93-£100 per day, depending on experience.

Axcis Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Year 5 General teaching assistant to join a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in the PR1 area. • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly Year 5.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning.
• An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service (essential).
