Job summary

Belmont Community Primary School in Grantham is seeking a talented, imaginative and enthusiastic teacher to join our Key Stage 2 team and take responsibility for a Year 5 class. You will deliver high-quality teaching with warmth and challenge in a safe, engaging classroom.

We particularly welcome applications from Early Career Teachers, who will be fully supported by a designated mentor and our ECT induction programme from day one.

Qualifications

• QTS with degree-level qualification.
• Recent KS2 teaching experience including an ITT placement for ECTs.
• Ability to plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons.
• Strong knowledge of assessment for learning and behaviour management.
• Safeguard and promote pupil welfare with emotional resilience.
• Excellent communication with children, colleagues and parents.

Responsibilities

• Teach Year 5 in Key Stage 2 with warmth and high expectations.

The role

What we're looking for

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with a degree-levelqualification
• Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2, including asuccessful KS2 placement during initial teacher training for ECTs

• Strong knowledge of assessment for learning, andconfident behaviour management
• The ability to safeguard and promote pupils' welfare,with emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviour
