AYear 5 Teacher will guide pupils through a crucial transition year in Upper KS2 – fostering academic curiosity, building independence, and creating an inclusive classroom culture where every child feels valued.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering dynamic, broad-based lessons tailored to the KS2 curriculum.
Partnering closely with your parallel Year 5 teacher for joint planning and resource development.
Differentiating learning to support children of all abilities, including EAL and SEND pupils.
Supporting children’s emotional well-being and personal growth alongside their academic progress.
Using positive behavior management techniques to maintain an encouraging classroom environment.
Assessing pupil progress and using data to target interventions effectively.
Building strong, collaborative relationships with families, colleagues, and the wider Croydon community.
Participating in whole-school CPD, staff meetings, and extracurricular events.
We are looking for a teacher who brings energy, cultural awareness, and strong Upper KS2 practice to the team:
Qualifications: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience delivering the UK National Curriculum (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome).
