Job summary

Leamington Primary and Nursery Academy, part of Flying High Partnership, is seeking a confident teaching assistant to join our Year 5 & 6 team. You will support learning, assist with interventions, and help maintain a positive, inclusive classroom under the supervision of teachers.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification in education or equivalent, classroom experience, and a proactive, resilient approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in a classroom setting.
• Confidence in managing behaviour and delivering lessons from prepared plans.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teaching teams.
• Level 3 qualification in an educational field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver whole-class lessons during PPA or teacher absence.
• Manage classroom behaviour and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils' learning and wellbeing, including working with small groups or individuals.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff to maintain high standards of learning.
• Uphold safeguarding procedures and model the school's values at all times.
