Job summary

SANZA Education is recruiting a Year 4 Teaching Assistant to support intervention work in Hackney, East London. You will co-deliver an alternative learning programme for four pupils, help with lesson delivery, resources, and behaviour management.

Starting 2 November 2026 through July 2027, with pay £100 per day rising to £124 from week 13 under AWR, paid via PAYE. This placement offers CPD, ongoing consultant support, and a focus on SEND inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in Key Stage 2 (Year 3–6).
• Patient, collaborative team player for co-running sessions.
• Ability to switch between specialized alternative programming and general whole-class support.

Responsibilities

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Targeted Small-Group Support: Collaborate directly with an existing TA to co-deliver an alternative learning program tailored for 4 children, keeping them engaged, motivated, and achieving their individual targets.
• General Classroom Support: Transition smoothly into the wider Year 4 classroom, assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery, resource preparation, and behaviour management.
• Fostering Inclusivity: Ensure that the children on the alternative program feel fully included, supported, and confident both inside and outside the main classroom.
• Progress Tracking: Give feedback to the class teacher and SENDCo on individual milestones, breakthroughs, and areas needing extra attention.
