Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Year 4 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Pemberton, WN5. You will work one-to-one with two Year 4 pupils—one in the morning and one in the afternoon—on a long-term, temporary basis starting September 2026.

You’ll support learning, help with catch-up sessions, assist with planning and resources, and foster an inclusive classroom where every student feels they belong. Flexible hours and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working in a school or education setting.
• Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support two Year 4 pupils one-to-one, responding to individual needs.
• Help deliver catch-up sessions to close learning gaps.
• Work with the class teacher on lesson planning and adapting resources.
• Promote an accepting, inclusive classroom where every student belongs.

We're currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Pemberton, WN5 to work one-to-one with two Year 4 children. You will support one child in the morning and another child in the afternoon. This role is on a long-term basis starting in September and is a temporary role.

You’ll be joining an inclusive and supportive school, focused on supporting children to become motivated whilst upholding a positive learning attitude. This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
