Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Year 2 SEND Teaching Assistant for a Standish primary school, starting September 2026. The role is long-term and temporary, focusing on one-to-one support and inclusion.

You will assist with lesson planning, adapt resources, and deliver catch‑up sessions to close learning gaps, helping every pupil feel they belong in an inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working in a school or education setting.
• Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting a Year 2 pupil one-to-one, responding to their individual needs.

We’re currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Standish, WN6 to work one-to-one with a Year 2 child. This role is on a long-term basis starting in September and is a temporary role.

You’ll be joining an inclusive and supportive school focused on helping children aim high and achieve their best. This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced educator to become a familiar face in a school where staffing, culture and community go hand in hand.
