Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a passionate 1:1 Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Burnley.

The role focuses on providing dedicated support to a Year 3 pupil, helping them access learning, build confidence and reach their full potential both academically and socially. The ideal candidate will have experience with children in school or childcare settings, a calm and nurturing approach, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support to a Year 3 pupil throughout the school day.

• Support the pupil's social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Encourage engagement, independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals to implement support strategies.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

Job description

We are currently seeking a passionate 1:1 Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school. This rewarding role involves providing dedicated support to a Year 3 pupil, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential both academically and socially.

Location: Burnley
Salary: £14.25 - £15.50 per hour
Contract: Full-Time 8:30am – 3:30pm
Start Date: Monday 2nd November 2026

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide individualised support to a Year 3 pupil throughout the school day.
• Assist with classroom activities and adapt learning materials where required.
