Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. in Burnley is seeking a dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support to a pupil with additional needs and help them access lessons.

The role is full-time, 8:30am to 3:30pm, starting 2nd November 2026, with a supportive school environment and opportunities for ongoing training to help the pupil achieve academic and social milestones.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, ideally in a school or SEND setting.
• Understanding of additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties or learning needs.
• Calm, patient and empathetic in approach.
• Ability to adapt support strategies to individual needs.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Holding relevant qualifications is desirable rather than essential.

The Role
