Job summary

Aspire People Limited is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Small Heath, supporting a Year 2 class on an ongoing basis.

The ideal candidate will have Year 2 experience and be confident assisting pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs. This is a long-term, ongoing role within a supportive school environment.

Qualifications

• Year 2 experience in a school setting.
• Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Flexible, proactive and confident in supporting learning both independently and with the class teacher.

Responsibilities

• Support a Year 2 class across learning activities.
• Assist with pupils who have additional needs in the classroom.
• Work alongside the class teacher to support planning and delivery of lessons.

Aspire People are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Small Heath, supporting a Year 2 class on an ongoing basis.

The successful candidate will have previous Year 2 experience and be confident supporting pupils across the classroom, including children with additional learning and behavioural needs.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning qualification or equivalent
• Previous experience working within Year 2
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs
• Strong understanding of learning and behavioural needs
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• Confidence supporting learning both independently and alongside the class teacher
• Flexibility and a proactive attitude
