Job summary

Aspire People are seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant to support the Class Teacher with delivering lessons and promoting pupils' emotional well-being in a friendly village school in South Derbyshire. Experience with SEN is preferred.

This is a full-time, long-term role starting ASAP for the remainder of the academic year. Candidates should have a relevant TA qualification or NVQ 2/3, classroom experience, DBS with Update Service or willingness to obtain one, and two references.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification and classroom experience.
• NVQ Level 2/3 or at least 3 months full-time experience.
• Experience in a classroom.
• SEN experience required.
• Two references covering the last 2 years.
• DBS with Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.

Job description

Aspire People are looking for a new addition to a Class Team in the role of KS2 Teaching Assistant. In this role you will supporting the Class Teacher in the delivery of lessons and supporting the emotional well being of students. This role is based in a lovely 1 form entry school based in a village in South Derbyshire. The role requires the candidate to be experienced working with SEN children - experience with Autism and challenging behaviour would be useful but not essential if other experience is similar and adaptable.

This is a full time, long term position starting ASAP for a fixed the rest of the academic year.

To be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria.

• Hold a relevant qualification & Experience for Teaching Assistant
• Alternatively, hold an NVQ Level 2/3 or a minimum of 3 months full time
• experience in a classroom.
• SEN experience required.
• Two suitable references covering the last 2 years.
• Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be
• willing to apply for a new one.
