Job summary

New Directions Education Ltd are seeking an experienced Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Salford, starting as soon as possible and continuing until Christmas. A passionate full-time role to make a real difference to pupils’ learning and development.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, assessing progress, differentiating learning, and supporting emotional development. QTS or equivalent and KS1 experience required. DBS checked and committed to high-quality teaching.

Qualifications

• Qualified primary teacher with QTS or equivalent.
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
• Strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum.
• Confident with planning, assessment and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Year 2 lessons.
• Assess and track pupil progress.
• Differentiate learning to meet all pupils' needs.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
• Work with teaching assistants and staff.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.
