Education World Ltd in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a passionate Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum, supporting pupils to build confidence and knowledge.

The successful candidate will work with dedicated colleagues to foster a caring, inclusive learning environment, emphasising high expectations, safeguarding, and partnership with families to support children's progress into Key Stage 2. UK QTS is essential.

Qualifications

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience teaching in a primary school.
• Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Phonics and early literacy knowledge.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management.
• Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Year 2 lessons across KS1.
• Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom environment.
• Assess progress and inform planning to raise attainment.
• Teach English, Maths, and wider KS1 curriculum.
• Support reading, writing, phonics and numeracy development.
• Differentiate teaching for varying abilities and needs.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and colleagues.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and community.
• Uphold safeguarding procedures and school policies.
