Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Year 2 SEND Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Leigh (WN7). The role is long-term, full-time, 08:30–15:30 with a 30-minute lunch. You will work one-to-one with a Year 2 pupil and support catch-up sessions to close gaps, collaborating with the class teacher on planning.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working in a school or education setting.
• Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar - or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Support a Year 2 pupil one-to-one, responding to their individual needs.
• Help deliver catch-up sessions to close learning gaps.
• Work alongside the class teacher on lesson planning and adapting resources.
• Promote an accepting, inclusive classroom where every student feels they belong.
