Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Year 2 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Pemberton, WN5. You will work one-to-one with two Year 2 pupils, supporting their individual needs and helping deliver catch-up sessions to close learning gaps.

You will also collaborate with the class teacher on lesson planning and adapt resources to suit learning styles. This long-term role starts in September with flexible days and strong safeguarding and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working in a school or education setting.
• Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting two Year 2 pupils one-to-one, responding to their individual needs.
• Helping deliver catch-up sessions to close learning gaps.
• Working alongside the class teacher on lesson planning and adapting resources.
• Promoting an accepting, inclusive classroom where every student feels they belong.
