Job summary

Milk Education is partnering with specialist SEN schools across Guildford, Farnborough and surrounding areas to recruit passionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants. 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Milk Education is working in partnership with specialist SEN schools across Guildford, Farnborough, and the surrounding areas to recruit passionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and wants to make a real difference to their learning, confidence, and development.

The Role as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant:

You will work closely with a pupil on a 1:1 basis, providing personalised support throughout the school day. You will help them access learning, develop independence, and feel confident within the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs
• Support learning, communication, and emotional regulation
• Assist with classroom activities and small group work
• Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and wider support teams
• Encourage independence, confidence, and social development

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND is desirable
• Passionate about helping children reach their full potential
• Patient, resilient, and empathetic
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience in education, care, youth work, coaching, or mentoring is beneficial
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
