Job summary

Sprint Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Telford from January 2027 on a maternity cover basis, initially running January to July 2027 with potential to extend.

The role covers planning and delivering Year 2 lessons, marking and assessment, and supporting pupil progress with the help of a Teaching Assistant. Interviews after October half term; salary dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in a primary school.
• Confident teaching a Year 2 class.
• Takes full class responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Confident with planning, marking and assessment.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Organised, reliable and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum.
• Completing marking and assessment.
• Monitoring and supporting pupil progress.
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Working closely with the Teaching Assistant in the class.
• Collaborating with colleagues and the wider school team.
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning.
