Job summary

Aspire People is currently recruiting a Year 2 Teaching Assistant for a maternity cover in a lovely mainstream primary school in Rochdale. The role runs until July 2027, full-time, Monday to Friday, supporting the Year 2 class and assisting with learning and classroom activities.

You will work closely with the class teacher, support pupils with diverse abilities and SEND needs, and play a key role in pupils' progress.

Qualifications

• Has relevant classroom experience as a TA or similar role.
• Demonstrates adaptability and patience to meet diverse learning needs.
• Reliable, committed and able to contribute as a valued team member.
• Confident in supporting pupils with a range of abilities and SEND needs.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across Year 2 under the guidance of the class teacher.
• Assist with planning, classroom activities and pupil progress.
• Provide additional support to pupils with SEND as required.
• Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
