Job summary

Water Mill Primary School in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic Year 2 Class Teacher (full-time or part-time, 3–4 days) to join our caring, high-expectation team. The role focuses on delivering engaging lessons, supporting SEND/EAL learners, and upholding safeguarding and inclusion across the class.

The successful candidate will have QTS, experience in KS1/KS2, and a strong commitment to creating an inclusive, creative learning environment. DBS check is required; ECTs are not eligible.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS
• Experience teaching KS1 and/or KS2
• Knowledge of classroom organisation, teaching strategies, assessment and statutory requirements
• Commitment to safeguarding, Prevent and inclusive practice
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, colleagues, parents and external agencies
• Organised, enthusiastic and empathetic approach to creating a positive learning environment

Water Mill Primary School is a warm and friendly one form entry local authority primary school with a strong sense of community. We are situated on the borders of Selly Oak and Harborne, Birmingham. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly skilled Year 2 Class Teacher This could be a full time or part time role which could be 3 or 4 days for the right candidate to join our team and contribute to our culture of high expectations, creativity, and genuine care for each learner.

We welcome applications from experienced teachers. Unfortunately, this post is not suitable for ECT's.

Essential

You will be:

• A qualified teacher with QTS.
• Experienced in teaching in KS1 and/or KS2.

• Able to communicate effectively with children, colleagues, parents and external agencies.
