Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is assisting a welcoming primary school in Wellingborough to appoint a Key Stage 2 Teacher from October 2026. The role is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and involves delivering lessons, planning, and assessment across KS2.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS or an equivalent qualification and be committed to safeguarding while supporting pupil progression and wellbeing.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is required.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2 is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, creative lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Plan, prepare and assess learning to meet all pupils' needs.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Differentiate and adapt learning to ensure all pupils access the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and parents to support outcomes.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community.

The Role
  • Deliver engaging, creative, and purposeful lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning to meet the needs of all pupils.

  • Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and raise attainment.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning, and presentation.
  • Differentiate and adapt learning to ensure all pupils can access and enjoy the curriculum.
  • Develop pupils' confidence, independence, resilience, and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs through effective adaptive teaching.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to support positive pupil outcomes.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A passion for helping children achieve their best academically and personally.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • A reflective, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider life and development of the school.
  • ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply and will be considered for the role with appropriate induction, mentoring, and support.
