Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a Year 2 Teaching Assistant for Smethwick to provide 1:1 support in a Year 2 class. The role focuses on enabling the pupil to access learning, build confidence and thrive within the school environment.

Requirements include experience with children and SEN, with Level 2/3 TA qualifications desirable. Training and safeguarding are provided, along with a £250 referral bonus for successful placements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children (ideally in a school setting).

• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.

Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 121 Teaching Assistants to join our Aspire Team and work in one of our schools in Smethwick. This role involves providing tailored support to a pupil on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the school environment in their Year 2 class.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
• Help to manage behaviour in a positive and consistent way.
• Support the pupil's social and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals.
