Aspire People is seeking a Year 2 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis in a Wednesbury school. The role focuses on enabling access to learning, building confidence, and promoting positive behaviour in a Year 2 setting.

Ideal candidates have some experience with children in schools, understanding of SEN needs, and a proactive, empathetic approach. Training and safeguarding checks are standard requirements for this education agency role.

Qualifications

Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 121 Teaching Assistants to join our Aspire Team and work in one of our schools in Wednesbury. This role involves providing tailored support to a pupil on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the school environment in their Year 2 class.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
• Help to manage behaviour in a positive and consistent way.
• Support the pupil's social and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children (ideally in a school setting).
• Understanding of supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or additional needs.

• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential.
