Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Sefton, L22. The role is long-term and starts in September, working one-to-one with a Year 1 pupil and supporting inclusive practice.

You will help deliver catch-up sessions, assist with planning and adapting resources, and collaborate with the class teacher. Experience in education and a Level 2/3 childcare or education qualification are preferred; safeguarding guidelines apply.

We're currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Sefton, L22 to work one-to-one with a Year 1 child. This role is on a long-term basis starting in September and is a temporary role.

You'll be joining an inclusive and supportive school, focused on supporting children to aim high and achieve their best. This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced educator to become a familiar face in a school where staffing, culture and community go hand in hand.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Supporting a Year 1 pupil one-to-one, responding to their individual needs
• Helping deliver catch-up sessions to close learning gaps
• Working alongside the class teacher on lesson planning and adapting resources

Requirements or Skills:

• Recent experience working in a school or education setting or Nursery, social care, community roles or similar
• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands-on experience
• Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment
