Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Hindley, WN2, to support Year 1 and Year 2 across KS1 pupils. The role starts September 2026 on a long-term, temporary basis, with ongoing training and support through Milk Education.

You will work with a nurturing school culture, assisting lesson planning, promoting inclusive learning, and delivering catch-up sessions to close learning gaps; a strong team collaboration is essential, with access to CPD on

Qualifications

  • Recent experience working in a school or education setting.
  • Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar - or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team.

We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Hindley, WN2, to work across both the Year 1 and Year 2 classes to support the KS1 pupils with their learning. This role is on a long-term basis starting in September and is a temporary role.

You will be joining a supportive and nurturing school, focused on supporting children to respect and encourage each other. This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced educator to become a familiar face in a school where staffing, culture and community go hand in hand.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting across KS1, responding to all children’s individual needs
